Meet The Owner

Steven Sours was born and raised in the Waynesboro and Lyndhurst area, where he built both his life and his reputation. A family man at heart, Steve spent years working in IT for a local factory—but his passion for building and carpentry never left.

After taking on small projects for himself and others, he made the decision to turn that passion into something more. Over 25 years ago, Sours Home Improvements was built from the ground up—starting with decks and small remodels, and growing into larger, full-scale renovation projects.

As his business expanded, Steve partnered with a major national retailer, becoming the exclusive window and door installer for eight stores in their district—further establishing his reputation for quality and reliability.

Along the way, he built his own homes locally and now resides on a small farm, where he enjoys working the land and spending time with his horses—staying grounded in the same community he serves.

With continued demand from past clients and homeowners looking for dependable, skilled work, Steve returned to fully focus on the business he originally built—bringing it back to its roots while expanding its capabilities.

As a lifelong local, Steve has watched Waynesboro and the surrounding areas grow—and understands the increasing need for an experienced, licensed contractor who can deliver quality renovations done right.
